Our Philosophy of Tattooing

It is advised to stay out of he water until the tattoo is finished healing. How long does it take for a tattoo to heal you ask? If you are asking yourself, “… is my tattoo healed enough yet to go swimming?” You’re probably not healed yet. Absolutely! Be sure to check with your artist ahead of time given the constraints of booth sizes. Bringing one or two people is fine, avoid the entourage.

Absolutely! Be sure to take care and be aware of the tattoo. Normal, daily, routines such as going to the gym or out for a walk are fine. You know your body best so changing the rhythm can cause its own issues. If you do choose to go and work out, be sure to listen to your body. If something hurts, stop doing that.

Tattoo Practice Standards and Prohibitions:  (c) On a person younger than 18 years of age, regardless of parental or legal guardian consent unless the requirements of Subsection (5) of this rule are met.

This means regardless consenting parents, you cannot get a tattoo under the age of 18,  unless it is prescribed by a physician.

Avoid getting the tattoo until you arrive back from the vacation. If you go somewhere sunny, take an extra 2-3 weeks after the return flight to settle back into your normal routine. This allows the skin to adjust to, and heal from, the excess sun exposure. (this is regardless the amount of sunblock used).
