Let’s Plan Your Tattoo.

A good tattoo starts with a good plan. Tell us what you’re thinking, where you want the tattoo, and what you’re hoping to make. We’ll use that information to understand your project and figure out the best next step.

Every artist at Mesa has a distinct specialty. The goal is to match your idea with the right artist and build a design that works for your body, your placement, and the long term.

01 / Choose your path

What kind of project are you planning?

Consultations are especially useful for projects that need careful design, placement, or multiple sessions. If you’re not sure which category fits, send us the details and we’ll help you work it out.

PROJECT 01

Cover ups & rework

Existing tattoos affect what’s possible with a new design. We’ll need to understand the current tattoo, its condition, and the direction you’re considering.

PROJECT 02

Large-scale tattoos

Sleeves, back pieces, and other substantial projects need a plan. We’ll discuss placement, composition, artist fit, and the likely session process.

PROJECT 03

Custom designs

Bring your references, your ideas, and the parts you haven’t figured out yet. We’ll use them to understand what you’re after and whether the project fits an artist’s specialty.

02 / Before you submit

Give us something to work with.

The more clearly we understand the project, the easier it is to determine the right artist and next step.

  • Describe the idea, subject, or style you’re interested in.
  • Tell us the approximate size and placement on your body.
  • Include clear photos of any existing tattoo if you’re planning a cover up or rework.
  • Attach reference images that help explain the direction you like.
  • Mention your timing and any questions you want to discuss.

Take the next step
